Gentle Giants raise funds for NSPCC

Recently our Head of Funds & Corporate, Trina Channing took part in a charity bucket shake for the Jersey NSPCC and a stroll through King Street with her 6 year old Leonberger Zshakira, accompanied by a contingent of local big dogs and visiting Newfoundlands and their owners, who have been in Jersey for the past week undertaking working dog test trials, both in water and on land in carts.

Nicola Santos-Costa from the local branch said, “I am very pleased to report that the Jersey Big Dog Club and Friends from the UK raised an astonishing £550.06 this morning! This is a fantastic sum and such a boost to our fundraising - thank you so much for sharing your training week with NSPCC Jersey. I’ve really enjoyed working with you for over 2 months planning on this event and meeting the members of your club and of course the Dogs! Those beautiful gentle giants continued to do good today and brought so much pleasure to everyone they met on their walk. It was a real honour to be invited to join you. Thank you so much to everyone who came along today for helping children and young people in Jersey who benefit from the NSPCC .”
