A team from Whitmill is limbering up for a marathon run to help two local charities, Seeing is Believing and Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.

Simone Lowes, Stuart Buchanan, Nadia Applegate, Chris Ash and Alex Alderton are all doing a leg of the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon and are busy training and fundraising for their big relay race on Sunday 1st October.

Each leg of the Relay Race varies from 4.8 to 11.20 kms and Simone Lowes, Accounts Manager at Whitmill will start the team off from St Helier at 9.30am. The team will run with hundreds of others through scenic lanes, picturesque valleys and around the Island’s beautiful coast.

Commenting on the team effort Don Wijsmuller, Whitmill Founder and Managing Director said, "We are really proud to have a team competing in one of the Island’s premier sporting events. They’ve all been training hard and I hope they enjoy both the challenge and the atmosphere on 1st October, whilst raising money for two really deserving local charities.”
